In the morning I like to have something quick and healthy to start my day. I do not like to much fuss and I do not like standing in the kitchen for a long time. So I try to be creative but also make sure that the foods do not take too long to prepare. As a busy mom, its important to be able to get in the kitchen and out so that I may proceed with the next order of things on my agenda. Whether that’s homeschooling, realestate, marketing, etc. I need to be able to manage my time effectively if I want to get anything accomplished.

This creation was based on a new health way of eating I decided to implement. Dr. Michael Greger’s Suggests a Daily Dozen Checklist and says, “Each day, I recommend a minimum of three servings of beans (legumes), two servings of berries, three servings of other fruits, one serving of cruciferous vegetables, two servings of greens, two servings of other veggies, one serving of flaxseeds, one serving of nuts and seeds, one serving of herbs and spices, three servings of whole grains, five servings of beverages, and one serving of exercise (90 minutes at moderate intensity or 40 minutes of vigorous activity). I figured it would be easy to combine some of the fruits into one serving and ended up with a delicious Kiwi Yogurt Delight.
