Black Bean Tuna Salad

I never really liked salads because the ones that had been made for me were mostly lettuce, tomatoes, and onions sometimes. It wasnt until I went to a Cheesecake factory, that I started to like the salads but often times it was the dressing that was the issue and depending on the chef onboard at the time would determine if they could make one that was egg free, gluten free, soy free, and dairy free.

I decided to try making my own salads and now I can say that I am in love with salads now. Its a great alternative then having meat on bread since I rarely crave bread unless its Pizza. Early this week I made a salad that was so good I was scraping my plate trying to make sure I left no food on the plate. I decided to share this recipe with you.

Black Bean Tuna Salad

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp mayonaise
  • dash salt
  • dash pepper
  • 1 pack tuna
  • 1/4 cup cooked black beans
  • 1/4 cup tomatoes chopped
  • 1 tbsp onion
  • 1/2 cup lettuce chopped
  • 1 tbsp cucumber
